Through these areas, we help emerging professionals navigate career pathways, support founders and enterprises to grow and adapt, and assist organisations in strengthening the governance, leadership and institutional capacity that underpin effective performance.

Our Story
Goshen Business and Career Advisory Services was founded in 2024 in response to the lasting economic, business and career disruptions that became increasingly visible following the COVID-19 pandemic. Business closures, unemployment, changing labour-market conditions and rapid technological shifts highlighted not only the need to help businesses and careers revive and rebuild, but also the importance of anticipating change and strengthening resilience in an increasingly uncertain environment.
From the beginning, this placed resilience and strategic foresight at the heart of Goshen's thinking: understanding changing conditions, looking beyond immediate challenges and helping businesses and individuals strengthen their capacity to adapt and remain viable over time.
As Goshen's work developed, so did its understanding of what sustainable rebuilding requires. Supporting an individual or enterprise could not be separated from the leadership, capability, governance and systems that enable people and organisations to perform, adapt and grow.
This understanding shaped Goshen's evolution from its initial focus on reviving and rebuilding businesses and careers into a broader advisory organisation working across institutional strengthening, founder and business advisory, and capability development.
Today, Goshen continues to carry its founding commitment to revive, rebuild and strengthen resilience, while addressing the deeper institutional and capability foundations required for sustainable growth and long-term impact.

Goshen is led by a Founder and CEO whose experience spans institutional strategy, governance, public-sector reform and development advisory.
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Sibongile Nkosi
Sibongile Nkosi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Goshen Business and Career Advisory Services.
She is an Institutional Strategist with more than 20 years of experience in public-sector strategy, institutional strengthening, governance, and development advisory.
Her work focuses on helping organisations strengthen governance systems, leadership alignment, and institutional capacity to improve performance, resilience, and long-term impact.
Prior to founding Goshen, Sibongile held advisory and leadership roles supporting institutional reform and organisational development across national, provincial, and local government.
Through the Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC) within the National Treasury, she coordinated multidisciplinary advisory teams delivering institutional strengthening initiatives across sectors including Basic Education, Transport, Small Business Development, and Science and Innovation.
Earlier in her career, she contributed to major governance and performance improvement programmes within the Eastern Cape Provincial Government, including Operation Clean Audit (OCA) and Back to Basics (B2B).
Leadership Experience

As Founder and CEO of Goshen, Sibongile leads the development of advisory frameworks, leadership pathways and capability-development models that support professionals, enterprises, organisations and institutions seeking sustainable growth and long-term impact.
Her professional contributions include research and policy work with the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), Trade and Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS), and the GRIT-FIT Programme.
She has represented South Africa in G20 and BRICS-related engagements and previously represented the Eastern Cape Province in South Korea through the K2H Fellowship.
She also contributes to the field as a postgraduate research supervisor in Development Studies at Nelson Mandela University.
